An Evening Gathering · Owensboro, KY
An evening to soften, release, and reconnect with yourself, beneath the energy of the Rose Moon.
Join us for a deeply restorative evening beneath the energy of the Rose Moon, an invitation to pause, reconnect, and simply be rather than do.
A Note from Dr. Kay Corpus
One of the things I've observed both as a physician and as a human being is how difficult it has become for many of us to truly rest.
We live in a culture that celebrates productivity, achievement, and constant motion. Even when we're exhausted, we often feel guilty for slowing down. We push through. We keep going. We tell ourselves we'll rest later.
But there is wisdom in creating intentional pauses.
Moments to step away from the noise.
Moments to reconnect with ourselves.
Moments to simply be rather than do.
I often say that the future of healing lies not only in chemistry, but also in energy, frequency, rhythm, connection, meaning, and the body's innate wisdom. As we continue to learn more about the nervous system and the body's remarkable capacity for healing, I believe experiences that help us regulate, restore, and reconnect will become increasingly important.
At Soul of Medicine, I want to create more opportunities for those kinds of experiences within our community. Gatherings that nourish us not because they ask anything of us, but because they invite us to receive.
I'm excited to welcome Amy and to begin what I hope becomes a monthly rhythm of coming together for reflection, restoration, and connection. I hope you'll join us.
With warmth,
The Experience
The evening begins with a gentle guided meditation designed to quiet the mind, relax the body, and invite the nervous system into a state of rest.
From there, you will be immersed in the healing vibrations of singing bowls, hand pans, drums, chimes, and other therapeutic instruments, allowing sound to wash over you and guide you into deep relaxation.
Why the Rose Moon
The June full moon has long been associated with abundance, beauty, and the blossoming of life. Traditionally known as the Strawberry Moon, it is also lovingly called the Rose Moon, honoring the season when roses are in full bloom. Roses have long symbolized love, beauty, transformation, and the opening of the heart.
Rhythm, vibration, and frequency help guide the body out of stress mode.
Move from the busy beta state into the slower waves of true relaxation.
Create space to honor what's complete and welcome what's ready to begin.
Unwind into the evening and prepare for a calmer, more restful night.
As modern science continues to explore the impact of vibration, frequency, and sound on the body and nervous system, many are discovering what ancient healing traditions have known for centuries: sound has the power to restore balance, support healing, and reconnect us to ourselves.
